We Have built good relationships and work closely with a number of social housing providers across the UK, providing electrical service and maintenance programmes, electrical system design, installation & upgrades as well as emergency breakdown cover. We manage numerous emergency lighting and fire alarm contracts for both domestic and commercial premises, providing a 24-hour, 365 days a year service for customers who require it.

Breakdown & Response
We have long standing relationships with most of our customers.
We have a wide range of customers from Care Homes, Schools and local authority properties, private and Failsafe customers. We provide 24/7, 365 days a year for breakdown callouts for our The Orders of St John Care Trust Homes, other commercial premises and our Failsafe customers.
We cover anything from a damaged socket or light switch to ensuring safety checks are carried out on electrics after leaks. Additionally, we complete full lighting upgrades, carry out 5-year Electrical Installation Condition Reports and complete subsequent remedials and issue a satisfactory certificate to cover the property for 5 years.
Circadian Lighting
We have begun installing circadian lighting upgrades throughout care homes with dementia wings. These change their lighting power throughout the day and night to reflect day & night-time.
Circadian lighting refers to lighting that is designed to have a biological impact on the human circadian system. Circadian lighting sends signals to the master clock in the brain, telling our bodies when it is daytime and when it is night and what functions to perform at various times of the day. A healthy circadian rhythm is associated with improved long-term health and helps promote better sleep at night, allowing our brains to repair our bodies as well as our minds.
The goal of circadian lighting is to provide sufficient light signals to the brain to help reinforce the natural light/dark signals we would receive from the sun if we spent more of our time outdoors. Circadian lighting should provide a strong daytime light signal, telling our brain that it is daytime and to perform all the functions it needs to during the day. At night, we want to reduce that daytime light signal to help our bodies wind down, telling our brain to perform night-time functions.
Dimplex
Hewer Facilities Management are an approved installer for the Dimplex Quantum Night Storage Heater range and we can be found on the list of approved installers on their website in the Gloucestershire area. However, we work in areas beyond Gloucestershire! We have been installing these heaters since their launch back in 2013. We install the Dimplex Quantum range of heaters for numerous Social Housing Providers including Bromford Housing and Rooftop housing. We also carry out Dimplex heating installation for private customers offering free surveys and written quotes on request. The Dimplex Quantum range is a very good alternative if you want electric heating with the Economy 7 Tariff.
EV Charging
As a business we have installed many EV chargers to many different types of properties domestically and commercially. We have installed EV chargers domestically on houses for our private customers to allow efficient charging in the comfort of their own home and we have installed EV chargers at local schools. Our engineers have Level 3 City and Guilds qualifications in Domestic, Commercial and Industrial sectors for Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment Installation which allows us to install EV chargers across all sectors ensuring an excellent quality and professionalism.
As Hewer FM are OZEV authorised installers we have access to government grants as and when they are offered out to the public, for both commercial and domestic properties.
