RENEWABLE SERVICES
MCS and Green Deal accredited
With the rising cost of fossil fuels like gas, oil and coal, allied with increasing concerns over carbon emissions, more people are switching to environmentally friendly sources of renewable energy for their domestic heating, hot water and electricity.
Our renewable energy team assist our customers by offering a range of products and related services geared towards the provision of environmental sustainability.
As part of our commitment to providing our customers with the best possible energy solution, we have gained Micro generation certification scheme approval (MCS), to design and install a number of renewable technologies. We have grown to specialise in the below renewable sources:

GOVERNMENT GRANTS
Boiler Upgrade Scheme
The Boiler Upgrade Scheme is a government incentive that will assist with the upfront cost of upgrading your heating system with a renewable alternative. Through the Boiler Upgrade Scheme, you could get a grant to cover part of the cost of replacing fossil fuel heating systems with a heat pump or biomass boiler.
Fossil fuel heating systems include oil, gas, electric or LPG (liquefied petroleum gas).
In addition, there is now no VAT on heat pumps – reducing the cost even further.
WHAT GRANTS ARE AVAILABLE?
- £7,500 towards a Ground Source Heat Pump
- £7,500 towards a Air source Heat Pump (including water source heat pumps and those on shared ground loops)
SOLAR PV
Solar photovoltaics panels
Solar PV or solar photovoltaics uses photovoltaic cells to capture the free energy that the sun produces to generate electricity which can then be used to power your household appliances and lighting. The Photovoltaic cells are made from layers of semiconducting material, usually silicon which when light shines on creates an electric field across the layers. Solar PV still generates electricity when it is cloudy but the stronger the sunshine, the more electricity is produced.
A well installed 4kWp Solar PV system can generate an estimate of around 3,800 kilowatt hours of electricity a year in the south of England which is the equivalent to a typical household’s electricity needs. It will save nearly two tonnes of carbon dioxide every year.

SOLAR PANELS
SOLAR THERMAL
Solar thermal panels
Solar thermal uses solar panels to capture the free heat energy that the sun provides and then uses it to heat up water which is stored in a hot water cylinder. A boiler or immersion heater can be used as a back-up to heat the water further to reach a required temperature.
HEAT SAVIOUR
Heat Saviour by Hewer
Heat Saviour is a practical solution to future-proof your domestic heat pump installation and is compatible with most mono heat pumps. You can use any heat pump compatible cylinder and it will reduce maintenance and servicing as well as a large reduction in glycol.
This can be retrofitted to existing systems and the back-up heating facility reduces out of hours call outs.No need for large plant rooms, it is easily fitted into a standard airing cupboard. Heat Saviour is manufactured in the UK and is easily installed.
Heat Saviour is compatible with all types of heating
